    Diagnosis

  1. Left/right sided
  2. Degenerative/ posttraumatic
  3. Neglected/ treated
  4. tear of tendo achilles
  5. of 3 months duration
  6. in a 65 year old retired male postman/ 25 year old labourer
  7. currently disabled with difficulty walking on uneven surfaces, running & climbing stairs

    8. H/o

  8. Mechanism of injury
  9. Pain
  10. Swelling
  11. Treatment taken

    12. O/E

    There is e/o TA rupture in the form of-

  12. Palpable defect of 4cm length , 2cm above calcaneal tuberosity
  13. Inability to tiptoe
  14. Increased passive dorsiflexion
  15. Thomson's test
  16. Calcaneus gait
  17. Calf wasting of 2 cm
